When life gets busy or you didn't get a lot of sleep one night, it's easy to grab a t-shirt and some sweatpants. That's why I like to buy comfortable casual wear. I have my t-shirts and my leggings with holes in them for my days off or for working out. They are what I like to call my "I'm not leaving the house today/cleaning the house" clothes. When going out and about I like to dress a little nicer. I have found when put together on the outside, the day, whether it goes well or not seems a little bit more doable. Athleta or Target are my two go-to stores for athletic/leisure wear that is designed in a way that doesn't feel like workout clothes. Plus both stores are pretty reasonable in price. I love Lululemon, but they tend to be more geared towards just being athletic clothes. The price point is definitely much higher, but the quality is up to par with the price. Depending on what your budget, any of the three stores would work for nice athletic leisure wear. I prefer Athleta and Target because, again, their clothes tend to be a bit more stylized to pass as casual wear. For shoes, I love Adidas, Steve Madden, or Nike. I have my specified workout shoes and then I have my everyday shoes. While it's important to invest in casual to dressy clothes, I find it just as important to invest in nice leisure clothing as well. Make it yours! Just because it's athletic clothes, doesn't mean you can't bring your own personal style to them.
If you have a busy week ahead and your go-to is to grab a t-shirt and leggings, I encourage you to think about your wardrobe and how you can incorporate cute leisure wear into your daily life. I feel so much better when I've made an effort in what I'm wearing, even if it's a change in shoes or adding accessories-I feel 10X's better!
